About Angela Poon Cheung

Angela Cheung has over twenty years of experience in executive search, corporate recruiting, consulting and banking. She is currently engaged as Head of Executive and Leadership Recruiting for Mobility, Delivery, Core Services and Corporate Functions (Finance, Legal, Marketing & Public Affairs, and People) at UBER. She and her team actively partners with the SVP of Mobility & Business Operations, SVP, Delivery, CFO, CLO, SVP, Marketing & Public Affairs and CHRO and their leadership teams in building and solidifying their executive bench. Before joining UBER, she served as a Consultant for a boutique search firm, specializing in financial services and financial technology. Previously she worked at Heidrick & Struggles in Silicon Valley, where she partnered with the Vice Chair for Asia on developing and managing clients and candidates for senior leadership and board roles across both public and private companies in the US and Asia. She also collaborated with a Senior Partner specializing in senior financial executives for technology companies. Angela has also previously seen search from the corporate side as a Principal in Recruiting at Barclays Global Investors (BGI). At BGI, she focused on building out the investment professional teams for their Product groups (iShares, Fixed Income, Equity and Capital Markets, Client Solutions, Corporate Strategy and New Ventures Group). She brings her personal perspective to the role of search and recruiting from her time as a technology investment banker at Thomas Weisel Partners in San Francisco, as well as a corporate banker for Citibank in Zurich, where her clients were also board and C-Suite executives. Her deep research skills were developed early in her career as a strategy consultant for the telecommunications industry. Angela holds bachelor degrees in Economics and Chinese Studies from Wellesley College and a master\'s degree in international trade and finance from Harvard University.
