   William L. Clements Library

   I oversee the fundraising, communications, marketing, outreach, and events for the Clements Library with a full-time staff of three as well as student workers and volunteers. I manage a portfolio of major gift prospects with a successful track record of closing gifts up to $10M. Through sincere and thoughtful interactions, we were able to exceed our Victors for Michigan campaign goal by 181%, raising nearly $30M. I am especially proud that 25% of our donors gave to the Clements for the first time during this campaign including an important gift in kind valued over $2.5M. The Clements Library Associates Board of Governors is a volunteer group that I actively manage through volunteer identification, recruitment, training, engagement, and solicitation. I work closely with the Director and Business Manager to plan budgets and align fundraising priorities with needs as well as to communicate use of funds to donors. Because events are an important part of the cultivation and stewardship process, I strategically plan unique activities to provide face-to-face contact with donors as well as the opportunity to reach new audiences. During the COVID-19 shutdown, I successfully launched and hosted new virtual programs including the Clements Bookworm.
