About Angela Marino

Growing up, I was raised in a very humbled family. With both parents born in Italy, moving to America with six dollars in their pocket was not easy. I learned at a young age that whatever I do in life is up to me to achieve it.Growing into my high school age, I worked several jobs at a time to stabilize my own finances and education, along with my entrepreneurship to start my T-Shirt company on the side. Independence, goal orientation, and time management have started to develop in preparation for my last few years of high school. As I approached my last years, leaving my mark on the soccer field, or in the class room, have helped develop my leadership, competitive, and driven skills.Transitioning into college was more of an obstacle. Attending College of DuPage for two years helped education become more affordable. There, I earned a 2x All American Award on the Women\'s Soccer Team, and started a chain of a cancer organization called Love Your Melon; which is run by college students across the nation on a mission to put a hat on every child\'s head battling cancer. My grit, persistence, and strong work ethic all played a role in these journey\'s to help shape who I am.After earning my Associates Degree, the following year was a hard time for me to take off from school to work three jobs and hopefully save enough money to continue my Bachelor\'s Degree. After achieving this, my dedication not only allowed me to continue my education, but enabled me to complete my last few years of collegiate soccer.
