With over two decades of experience in radiation protection—including 10 years leading the Iowa Radiation Control Program—I understand firsthand the regulatory, operational, and staffing challenges that programs face every day.My work is grounded in real-world radiological expertise spanning licensing and inspections, emergency preparedness, technical training, rulemaking, and policy development. I launched Quantum Radiation Solutions to bridge critical gaps in capacity, offering tailored solutions that help programs maintain compliance, respond to incidents, and train the next generation of professionals. Whether supporting regulatory strategy, radiation emergency planning, or surge staffing, I collaborate with clients to deliver flexible, actionable results.In addition to consulting, I serve as a member of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) and have contributed to national regulatory and preparedness initiatives through my relationships with the Radiological Operations Support Specialist (ROSS) program, the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD), the Organization of Agreement States (OAS), and the Health Physics Society (HPS). I am currently serving on the Board of Directors for HPS and previously served six years on the Board of Directors for CRCPD, including Chairperson in 2022.I’m passionate about advancing radiation safety through mentorship, innovation, and strategic partnerships—and ensuring that those tasked with protecting the public have the tools and support they need to succeed.
