ABOUT ANGELA LATHANAVALY
Hello! My name is Angela and I am a Mental Health Assistant at Touchstone Mental Health and an undergraduate Psychology B.A. student with a Family Therapy minor at the University of Minnesota. I strive to advocate mental health with cultural competency and humility, unconditional positive regard, and empathy. I’m interested in the holistic therapeutic relationship between a client and counselor as a working partnership in regard to a person-centered approach. I value learning vast academic, career, and personal aspects of my life. Through my experience at Touchstone and partnership with our clients, I’ve learned paraprofessional medication administration, Harm-Based Reduction, and Verbal Intervention trained by the Crisis Prevention Institute.
