Responsible for leadership and management of the THIE Claims operations. Participate in reinsurance negotiations, reporting, and settlements. Coordinate efforts with THIE Risk Management and Underwriting departments to best serve subscribers. Report quarterly to the Claims Committee and Board of Directors. Assure compliance with reinsurance contracts, Medicare and Medicaid subrogation requirements, and other government programs. Represent THIE to further our presence in the market, to maintain and build relationships with our subscribers, and to promote seamless collaboration within the THA family of companies.Responsible for the claims department operations and personnel, including evaluation, coaching, and discipline of employees. Oversee regular updates and adherence to departmental policies and procedures to ensure timely, fair, and equitable management of claims. Develops and manages the claims department budget.
