Career goal achieved! Since beginning as a student court reporter, “Rookie”, as we were called, it has been my dream to be a business owner. There were many sacrifices, but a constant move to progress. From the purchase of steno writers, real-time software, printers, office supplies, and professional dues, no sound is sweeter than CEO/Owner. Ranking the most important skill learned in this position would be perseverance. Resolving issues through mutual respect and honesty are powerful tools as well. Acquiring HUBZone certification through the Small Business Administration was a reward and outward sign of hard work and dedication to the court reporting industry as well.
