Coordinate, monitor and facilitate activities for USA partners with Office of the Prime Minister and eight ministries to establish and develop strategies for the successful implementation of a food fortification program. Presently volunteering to seek for partners to work with \"Nourish the Children\" and Feed the Children to implement a pilot program in 20 rural schools selected and endorsed by the ministry of Education Permanent Secretary and nutrition technical staff towards alleviation and decrease of malnutrition in critically malnourished children of school age and women of childbearing age related to them in Uganda. We hope to launch by February 2019.

ABOUT ANGELA BUKENYA
I have a huge passion for advocacy and humanitarian support. I have done it when other people are not able to represent themselves because of fear, intimidation, complexity of organizational structure, or even due to challenges arising from Institutional culture and dynamics. For East Africa, I have been involved in advocating for women empowerment, hunger alleviation through food security exercises, preventable diseases, minority issues, and other under served populations in the region. In execution of these roles, I volunteered for Human Rights Activists Groups in Uganda and provided humanitarian support to different people. While in the USA, I have for the last 14 years volunteered (on a yearly basis) with several Ugandan Non Profit Organizations to promote issues reflecting on lives of Ugandans in the Diaspora; specifically on matters of social economic status, and immigration issues. I initiated making friends with legal communities and attorneys to represent fellow immigrants. Consultations are usually one on one; but education is arranged through workshops. I also encourage economic and cultural exchange for the latter through partnerships involving development of sister cities, visitations of municipal council members to observe development unique to their needs. For my community in the USA, I have been engaged in several political processes including civic duty, helping people register and “getting out the vote,” exercises. That said, election years here in the States have been my best experience not just because I understand the relevancy of them but I feel it’s my duty too, to encourage people to vote. I am motivated to do this exercise because some people don’t understand the necessity of their participation, lack confidence and courage of expressing their right through the vote.
