Opening Network Engineer for a newly launched 1,600-room resort property, responsible for establishing, stabilizing, and operating the enterprise network infrastructure supporting guest, staff, and large-scale convention operations.Lead day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting complex LAN and WAN issues across routing, switching, wireless, and firewall layers. Manage and maintain Cisco Firepower firewalls, enterprise switching and wireless platforms, and secure network access policies to support business-critical systems and large-scale events.Design and implement VLAN segmentation, access control policies, and network security standards to support diverse operational requirements. Collaborate closely with vendors, ISPs, and internal stakeholders to plan and execute network upgrades, resolve outages, and deliver custom network solutions for convention clients.Provide technical leadership and guidance to technicians during deployments, upgrades, and incident response efforts. Communicate technical information clearly to senior leadership, including Directors of IT Operations and Hotel Technology, to support decision-making and long-term infrastructure planning.Utilize enterprise monitoring and diagnostic tools including ClearPass, Infoblox, AirWave, SolarWinds, Ekahau, and Wireshark to monitor performance, enforce security policies, and proactively identify issues. Develop documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures to support consistent, secure network operations.
