About Angel Puder

I am a Master of Public Administration candidate at Cornell University’s Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, concentrating in Social Policy. My academic and professional journey is centered on addressing challenges in food security, housing, and education through policy, research, and community-driven solutions.I bring experience across economic development, consulting, and community engagement. As an AmeriCorps VISTA in Houston, I advanced affordable housing initiatives, managed community investment programs, and developed policies to strengthen neighborhood resilience. I have also contributed to public policy and communications through internships with the City of Ithaca, SKDK, The Odom Consulting Group, the Houston Mayor’s Office, and The Pangea Network.At Cornell, I serve as President of Women in Public Policy, a founding board member of Black in Brooks, and a leader in student governance and academic publishing. My leadership background includes serving as President of the NAACP chapter at LSU, where I earned distinctions such as the LSU Distinguished Communicator Medal and Engaged Citizen Award.I am motivated by the belief that equitable policy can create stronger, more inclusive communities, and I aspire to build a career at the intersection of government, nonprofit leadership, and consulting.
