ABOUT ANGEL FABRIGUZE PHARM D
Hi! Thanks for connecting with me! I am clinical pharmacist with over 20 years of pharmacy experience. I have experience as a diabetes educator, pain management specialist, program management, and fostering client and physician relationships. In my current role, a certified diabetes care and education specialist at an outpatient pediatric endocrinology clinic and the first and only pharmacist on the clinic’s interprofessional care team. I am passionate about empowering new families diagnosed with a chronic disease such as diabetes and work to ensure that they have the skills they need to be successful with diabetes management. Though direct patient care, I see families in clinic and review their medication regimens, make dosing adjustments, and check annual labs. I also encourage families to utilize technology by training and supporting problem solving with cgms and insulin pumps. When I\'m not seeing a patient in clinic, I am answering parents questions by phone, writing prescriptions, and submitting prior authorizations and letters of medical necessity to ensure that our patients have access to the best tools possible. As a DISC-Type I personality, I value relationships, enjoy motivating others, and bringing positivity and morale to the workplace. I would describe myself as adaptable, motivated to learn, and excels when presented with new challenges. I enjoy public speaking and presenting to all audiences. My passion is mentoring and teaching. I have a Bachelors degree in education and am skilled in Pedagogy. When I am not working, I enjoy volunteering with the Tourettes Association of America as their Southern Arizona regional coordinator and advocating for the families and people that face challenges with Tourette Syndrome.
