ABOUT ANGEL B.
Angel Boardley is a first-generation Biology graduate with a minor in Sociology (May 2025) from Hood College and an incoming Master of Science in Law candidate at Northwestern University (Fall 2026). Her MSL program—at the intersection of science, law, and business—will allow her to deepen her expertise in biotech, venture capital, and innovation, and further her goal of bridging scientific advancement with legal insight and entrepreneurial growth.Her journey in biotech began at age 16 with research internships at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she explored neuroscience and precision medicine. After founding and running her own nannying and family development consulting business, she returned to biotech with a renewed focus—applying her business acumen to scientific innovation.She has since expanded her experience through roles at KamTek Inc, where she was named Maryland’s Intern of the Month in Science & Technology; the Department of Defense’s Center for Prostate Disease Research; and the National Cancer Institute, where she studied the genetic landscape of proviruses in individuals living with HIV.Currently, Angel serves as a BioHealth Capital Region Ecosystem Development Fellow at BioBuzz, where she supports market intelligence and strategic storytelling across the region’s biotech incubators, startups, and investment ecosystem.Her commitment to innovation and impact is further evidenced by her completion of the Black Venture Capital Consortium’s Venture Capital Career Track and her acceptance to the Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University, where she gained Ivy League training in venture finance, legal structures, and growth strategy.Angel thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments and is eager to collaborate with like-minded professionals at the forefront of life sciences, venture capital, and startup ecosystems.
