Oversee the prompt release and delivery of import shipments through communication and collaboration with shippers, sales administration, customs broker, steamship lines, freight forwarders and trucking firms in an effort to meet outbound fulfillment requirements. Assist in reviewing ocean import contracts to ensure agreed upon terms are adhered to. Classify product shipping into the European Union (EU) for Customs clearance.Develop and implement a cycle counting program as well as an annual year end physical inventory that help to maintain the utmost inventory integrity yet minimize down time to the operation. Identify opportunities to best maximize space usage during peak inventory levels. Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies.Work with distribution staff to customize warehouse management system (WMS) transactions, user interface and/or SQL queries in an effort to maximize efficiency or provide valuable metrics. Provide adhoc reporting to Management Staff via ERP reporting. Train personnel on ERP as well as WMS platforms.
