ABOUT ANGARAJ ANAND

Angaraj Anand is a third-year B.A, LL.B.(Hons.) student at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, and a recognised mooter across the Northeast. Alongside his academic training, he has mentored numerous CLAT aspirants and contributed actively to legal education initiatives. His primary interest lies in Intellectual Property Law, with a focus on trademark litigation, IT Litigation, and domain name disputes.Through internships at leading IP chambers and firms in Delhi and Noida, Angaraj has gained substantial exposure to trademark prosecution and litigation. He has drafted a wide range of pleadings, including notices, affidavits, written statements, replications, multiple litigation documents, and filings under the Trade Marks Rules, 2017. His research experience spans dynamic injunctions, commercial use of protected works, customs enforcement of trademarks, and INDRP/UDRP procedures, strengthening his capability in high-stakes contentious IP matters.In mooting, Angaraj has been consistently ranked among the best mooters in Northeast India. He won the 3rd B.R. Ambedkar National Human Rights Moot Court Competition was Runner-Up at the Leguleian 6.0 North-East Level Moot Court competition and secured 3rd Position at the 1st Lex Imperium Moot. He was also the 2nd Best Speaker at the Leguleian Moot. He has participated in seven moot court competitions, including multiple national competitions. His team notably ranked 5th out of 72 teams at the 11th NALSAR–Lex Omnia Moot Court Competition hosted by BITS Pilani Goa.Beyond mooting, Angaraj serves as the Team Leader of the IDIA Assam Chapter, overseeing all operational verticals, including sensitisation, mentorship, fundraising, training, and administration. He has supported and inducted several underprivileged students into IDIA, ensuring structured and sustained mentorship for CLAT preparation.Angaraj aims to build a career at the intersection of intellectual property, technology law in the sphere of litigation. His work demonstrates rigorous research, precise drafting, effective advocacy, and meaningful social engagement, positioning him as a young professional driven by discipline, clarity, and a long-term vision for excellence in the legal profession.
