About Aneecia Vernessa Tafara
I hold electrical engineering degrees from South Carolina State University and Penn State University and an MBA in Sustainable Energy Management from the University of the West Indies. I started my career at Cummins where I held several engineering and technical sales positions.Being from an economically developing twin-island state, I have always been connected to energy as a tool for progress and sustainable development. Also, having had international managerial experience, I developed a passion for the way businesses work by utilizing financial systems and I subsequently earned my MS in Finance from the University of Houston. Upon completion of my MSF, I also earned a certificate in Financial Services Management working as a Senior Portfolio Manager & Investment Analyst for the Bauer Cougar Investment Fund, a live multi-million-dollar private investment fund of equity securities that are traded on U.S. markets.It is important for me to remain focused in the energy and utilities industry because I want to be a part of creating solutions that tackle energy accessibility and energy transition challenges. It is always my goal to work for an organization that has priorities focused on these two areas. I look for roles where I can share my knowledge of capital investment and strategy to positively impact energy accessibility and energy transition.
