Part of the Brenntag Group, the global market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution, to lead capital projects and carry out asset management across UK & Ireland (upper, lower and non-tier COMAH sites) and contribute to the delivery of the EBIDTA targets, capital expenditure and fleet efficiency.Successfully planned and executed multiple projects; completed deliverables on time and to budget, earning consistently strong leadership feedback:Prepared invitation to tenders including scope of works, P & IDs, layout drawings and technical specifications.Worked closely with the contractors to manage and evaluate the project delivery performance; carried out bid appraisals, negotiations, agreed on milestones/payment schedules, carried out regular project reviews, organised training and site handover.Carried out meticulous project planning, coordinating multi-disciplinary contractors such as civil/structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation (EC & I).Led technical evaluations and optimisation of processes: Generated action plans to address these improvements and completed these effectively.Ability to handle health, hazard and safety aspects: lead engineer on various process safety studies, such as HAZOP, LOPA, DSEAR, HIRA/HAZID etc. to meet legislative requirements and apply appropriate principles and good engineering practise.Notable ProjectsSuccessful implementation of a new system; from identifying the suitable CMMS system, presenting the solution to the senior management team, securing funding, project programme, organising training, procuring new tablets/phones through to the implementation for around £75k. Ability to handle commercial and economic aspects; led the remediation of a m3 storage tank, which is an integral part of the business, and associated works project to comply with EEMUA 159. Multi-disciplinary project with various challenges. Project completed two weeks ahead of schedule and £50k under budget.
