I’m a Master’s student in Cybersecurity at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, building on my foundation as a Cybersecurity graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT ’24), where I also minored in Web Development and immersed in Economics. I’m passionate about bridging the gap between technical security and organizational governance, ensuring that cybersecurity decisions align with business goals, risk appetite, and compliance standards.During my time as an Information Security Intern and Jr. Application Administrator at RIT, I gained hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security assessments, and workflow automation through tools like Nessus, Rapid7, OpenVAS, and ServiceNow. I also supported the development of internal security policies and risk assessments, deepening my interest in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and strengthening my understanding of frameworks such as NIST, STRIDE, and CIS Benchmarks.What drives me is the challenge of transforming complex cybersecurity requirements into actionable, measurable improvements that help organizations stay resilient. My current focus is on risk management, disaster recovery, and policy development, and I’m eager to apply these skills to real-world challenges in both technical and strategic environments.I’m always open to connecting with cybersecurity professionals, mentors, and organizations that value innovation and collaboration. Whether it’s discussing emerging threats, risk mitigation strategies, or potential opportunities, I’d love to connect and learn from others in the field.
