Project controls, planning & scheduling specialist for clients in defence, energy, motorsport, construction, and IT. Previous projects have included land, air and sea defence projects, nuclear power (new build and outage), datacentre builds, Formula 1 racetrack delivery and IT infrastructure. I\'ve been involved with project controls and planning throughout the whole project life cycle from bid work through to execution and closeout as both supplier and end client. My work with client projects has involved setting up new project controls processes and plans from scratch, major rework / project change such as baseline changes, and working alongside existing projects to deliver continuous improvement. This can be done by assessing a client’s needs and identifying opportunities, then delivering improvements such as creation and delivery of customised staff training, introduction of new processes and tools, or facilitating culture shift to new ways of working such as Earned Value Management or Agile. I have had a major focus on analysing and improving schedule quality. This has included developing analytical tools and processes for the client to use as regular health checks as well as exposure to forensic planning during supplier contract disputes.
