ABOUT ANDY SAMUEL

From VAT man to gin maker is not your typical career path, but I\'ve never been great at typical.I spent 7 years as a VAT Specialist at HMRC before deciding life was too short not to build something of my own. In 2021 I founded Shipyard Gin, an award-winning, premium small batch Scottish gin from Inverclyde inspired by the industrial heritage and craftsmanship of the Clyde shipbuilding era.Five years in, Shipyard Gin is stocked across the UK, has picked up awards, and is something I\'m genuinely proud of every single day.Alongside the gin, I\'m Head of Growth & Operational Strategy at WORQ Group, helping hospitality businesses grow. I also run Tall Tale Films, because apparently two jobs was never going to be enough. If you\'re in the Scottish drinks industry, hospitality, or just fancy a chat about building a brand from scratch, I\'m always up for a conversation.🥃
