Scholar Rock’s Central US team is guided by leadership focused on preparing for the launch of Apitegromab, a novel therapy for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The team emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and market readiness, ensuring a patient-centered approach to commercialization. With over 15 years of expertise in rare disease commercialization from prior roles, including leading regional strategies at Recordati Rare Diseases, Alexion and Novartis Gene Therapies, the focus remains on driving impactful launches and fostering KOL relationships. This approach consistently enables the delivery of innovative therapies aimed at improving patient care and outcomes.Before advancing into biotech sales leadership, I spent five formative years with Upjohn in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, one of the most complex and academically rigorous healthcare ecosystems in the U.S. There, I launched multiple breakthrough hospital therapies—including Vantin (cefpodoxime proxetil), which became a first-line oral antibiotic in major institutions such as MD Anderson, as well as Lovenox (enoxaparin) and the GP inhibitor eptifibatide (Integrilin) across leading cardiovascular and critical-care programs. Those experiences—navigating P&T committees, engaging Infectious Disease and cardiology thought leaders, and building data-driven hospital protocols—shaped my evidence-based, collaborative approach to commercialization. They also laid the foundation for the leadership style I bring today: combining deep clinical fluency with a disciplined focus on execution, cross-functional alignment, and patient-centered impact in the rare-disease space.
