ABOUT ANDY BARNETT

A highly motivated and tenacious Chartered Programme Director and Head of Engineering with extensive and varied executive and delivery experience across a range of industries including Transportation (Rail), Aerospace, Nuclear, Defence, Energy and Marine. Previously working in a global blue chip organisation managing and overseeing a functional portfolio, covering a wide range of project types from organisational change to systems improvements. I am accountable for the resource, delivery, budget, risk, process improvement and strategic direction for the delivery of the projects against the functions short, medium and long-term vision. I have extensive experience in setting up, managing and embedding practical and applicable Project Management Systems and Principles (both agile and waterfall) across a variety of business improvement, change and engineering projects. I am a strategic thinker, a pragmatic professional and an effective negotiator with excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels of stakeholder engagement. I have proven ability to motivate, inspire and embed innovative solutions within teams to deliver technically and commercially complex projects safely on time, to budget and quality.
