As the Founder and Chief Executive of RIFT Social Enterprise, I lead a not-for-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to empowering individuals through comprehensive self-employment support. Established in 2018, RIFT Social Enterprise operates across the welfare-to-work and criminal justice sectors, helping people forge their own paths to success. Our dynamic self-employment programmes and training span the entire United Kingdom, achieving extraordinary outreach in over 40 prisons, securing 20 DWP Restart Scheme contracts, and forging a robust partnership with the UK\'s largest construction charity.RIFT Social Enterprise was awarded \'Social Impact in Enterprise\' winners at the 2021 National Enterprise Network awards and were winners in the 2023 National Facilitator Awards. We were also highly commended in the 2024 Robin Corbett Award for Prisoner Integration and were included in the NatWest \'Top 100 Social Enterprises\' 2024 and 2025 list.With over 25 years of experience in social welfare, I have held key positions such as CEO of a children\'s charity and Prison Governor grade at three prisons. My career includes serving as a Senior Probation Officer, and leading the Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) for Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. I began my professional career as a qualified social worker in Derbyshire, supporting children with learning disabilities and their families.My dedication to social reform and welfare has earned me nominations for a Butler Trust Award, National Probation Officer of the Year, and recognition as a finalist in the 2022 Criminal Justice Alliance (CJA) Awards \'Outstanding Individual\' category and I was a National Finalist in the 2023 \'Great British Entrepreneur Awards.\'I hold a degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Social Work, reflecting my commitment to excellence and continuous learning.
