About Andy Fraizer

I am the new Executive Director of the Community Foundation of South Jersey. The Foundation helps South Jersey residents harness the power of philanthropy to transform their community and the issues they care about most.For more than 10 years, I was the Executive Director of Prosperity Indiana, AKA the Indiana Association for Community Economic Development (IACED). Prosperity Indiana supports a network of organizations that builds vital communities and resilient families. The organization advocates for public policies and assist the network in developing comprehensive solutions that engage local leadership to generate private and public investment. I am a former board member of the National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations (NACEDA) where I served as the treasurer.Before joining Prosperity Indiana, I served as the Director of Community Development for the City of Indianapolis. My work here was leadership and support of the city’s aggressive community development agenda. My portfolio included initiatives to produce and improve access to affordable housing, reuse abandoned properties, revitalize commercial districts, improve access to jobs and amenities, beautify communities and engage residents. I am a past participant in the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at the JFK School of Government, Harvard University, and a graduate of Achieving Excellence, an executive education program developed by NeighborhWorks America in partnership with the JFK School of Government. My bachelor\'s degree is from Indiana State University in Secondary Education and Political Science. I completed a master\'s degree in Public Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
