With many years of experience in the business continuity industry, I use my hands on experience of replication software to help build resilient high availability and disaster recovery environments.I provide an interface between the technical details of our software and real-world application. This ensures our customers get the solution they need whilst enabling our sales team to focus on closing deals. I also assist with generating new business and building relationships with existing customers.My role requires a detailed understanding of many areas of the IT industry, including server and storage architecture, application software, industry standards and best practices. I have an extensive knowledge base of technologies and their implementation, both for complimentary tools and competitive solutions.I support the sales process with face to face and web-based presentations, demonstrations, proof of concept implementations and pre-sales training. I design solutions to protect and/or migrate virtually any Windows or Linux application, based on criteria given to me by the client and help to transform this into a comprehensive business continuity plan.The customer base I work with covers most sectors including Financial, Insurance, Legal, Construction, Retail, NHS, Police, and Government.I also provide pre-sales technical training for resellers and partners including the OEM relationship Double-Take has with Hewlett Packard (HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring)Specialties: My specialties include protecting and migrating live applications such as SQL, Exchange, Oracle, SAP, Blackberry running on Windows Operating Systems and Linux. Because Double-Take replicates between many different environments, I have experience of Physical and Virtual Environments, including hands on experience of VMware, Hyper-V and XEN.Other technologies include Storage Area Networks (SAN - Fibre Channel and iSCSI), WAN Accelerators (Riverbed, F5, Silver Peak), and Virtual Desktops.
