ABOUT ANDY LIMA

I am a Senior Lecturer in Technology and Entrepreneurship at Leeds Business School, Leeds Beckett University, with a focus on technology entrepreneurship education, AI for business, enterprise education, and regional innovation impact. I design and deliver practice-led teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate, and apprenticeship programmes, helping students translate emerging technologies into meaningful business and societal value. My current teaching includes Applied AI for Business Processes; Machine Learning and AI for Efficient Management; AI-Driven Decision Intelligence; and entrepreneurship-focused modules such as Strategic Thinking, where students build new ventures using Lean Start-up, Design Thinking, MVP development, and tools such as the Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas. Alongside teaching, I supervise placements, master’s capstone projects, and live client challenges, supporting students to apply strategy, entrepreneurship, and AI in real-world settings. Over the past few years, I have taught, mentored, and guided more than 300 students, with supervised projects receiving recognition in enterprise showcase and innovation events. I am currently lead author and researcher for the REF2029 Impact Case Study on Enterprise Education, examining how entrepreneurial education and university-business engagement generate measurable impact for founders, learners, and regional ecosystems. I have also contributed to enterprise support and mentoring through programmes including Accelerate, Ad:Venture, the Innovative Entrepreneurs programme, and CEKE, where I serve as a Board Member. My professional background in entrepreneurship, digital strategy, and venture development continues to inform my academic work, allowing me to bridge theory, practice, and innovation. I am especially interested in international teaching, visiting academic roles, hybrid delivery, and collaborative opportunities related to AI, entrepreneurship, and enterprise education.
