About Andy Wessman
As a Player Personnel Coordinator / Graduate Assistant for BYU Men’s Basketball, I help lead the program’s recruiting and intel strategy under Head Coach Kevin Young. I assist in the management of all player recruitment, maintain national intel pipelines, and help produce detailed evaluations that contributed to BYU’s No. 4 overall 2025 recruiting class (per 247Sports). I work closely with our Director of Recruiting and coaching staff to manage roster construction, organize databases, and provide scouting insight on high school, transfer, and international prospects. Previously, I served as Lead Basketball Strategy Analyst and Director of Scouting at ProMondo Sports, overseeing NBA Pre-Draft operations while working directly under multiple former NBA executives. My responsibilities included managing player development processes, creating high-level scouting presentations, generating NIL opportunities, and coordinating with league personnel on behalf of clients. I earned my degree from DePauw University, where I served as Student Director of Basketball Operations for the Men\'s Basketball Team and founded the Sports Management & Administration Club. My goal is to continue building a career in basketball scouting and front office operations—driven by a deep passion for evaluation, strategy, and team building.
