Senior legal counsel providing legal advice and coverage for all London branch business units and support functions, as well as certain Stockholm based businesses.I support our Cash Management business on a variety of issues including client documentation and various structures/products (e.g. account pledge structures and cash pools). I also advise them on all relevant regulation such as the Deposit Guarantee Scheme and related FSCS rules, APP fraud and Confirmation of Payee.I advise our Trade and Receivables Financing businesses on a variety of arrangements including loan, guarantee and MMF facilities as well as receivables financing deals.I also support our Equities/Research and FX/Commodities desks in relation to any client documentation (e.g. Terms of Business and Research arrangements) and agreements with exchanges and other service providers. I have recently updated and simplified our UK MIFID client onboarding documentation and related processes.I also cover both our Prime Brokerage and Futures businesses, which are based in Stockholm. This involves overall responsibility for our documentation, client negotiations, relationships with CCPs/exchanges and the impact of any relevant EU legislation, such as the recent implementation of EMIR 3 disclosure requirements. I am regularly involved in the FIA Legal working group.I am also responsible for a variety of non-business line focused documentation, such as NDAs, Powers of Attorney and agreements related to our HR, IT and Facilities teams.I cover all other aspects of regulation that impact on the operation of the London Branch, including overseeing the implementation of a regulatory horizon scanning process, advising on DORA and related agreements and introducing a procedure to cover dawn raids from a regulator. I have been involved in the preparation of advertising SEB’s ESG related offerings, including providing advice on recent anti-greenwashing requirements.
