Originally coming from a motor insurance background I moved to Shoosmiths in 2002 to assume a Claimant personal injury claims handling role before moving to Silverbeck Rymer, which later became Slater Gordon, in 2013 where I began as a Legal Advisor and then gained promotion to become a Fast Track Team Leader after a few months.Over the 5 years I had at Slater Gordon I developed my management skills and completed the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management which has enhanced those skills, providing a transferable skill set which I am now utilising in a role as Compliance Manager for a commercial insurance broker.Starting as Product & Governance Co-Ordinator at Business Choice Direct I then became Compliance Manager for them after they were bought by Lloyd & Whyte at the end of 2019. I then became Compliance Manager Specialist Broking covering BCD and other Lloyd & Whyte Acquisitions Stride Insurance, Direct Insurance Corporate Risks and Mi Commercial Risks. In 2021 I completed the ICA International Advanced Certificate in Regulatory Compliance.In August 2018 made the move to Somerset Bridge Group to join the Risk & Compliance Team as a Compliance Business Partner, a second line role supporting various front line areas of the business.I started a new role as Head of Compliance for Riviera Insurance in February 2026.
