I am responsible for the day to day management and delivery of the Young Adult Carer Service ensuring that Young Adult Carers are recognised and have access to a range of emotional and practical support. I constructively participate in supervision and the development of York Carers Centre and manage/supervise paid staff and volunteers. What is a carer? Carers provide regular, unpaid help to someone close to them due to frailty, physical or mental illness, addiction or disability.Carers may help with personal care (washing, bathing, dressing, feeding), medication, cooking, shopping, housework and giving emotional support.Please take the time to complete our free online awareness course if you would like to know more about recognising carers.
