Visual Storyteller, Artist, and Photographer based in Minneapolis, working globallyAndy Richter is an award-winning photographer who serves clients who understand that authentic visual content inspires audiences to engage and act. Whether working with a major brand, a national publication, or an international NGO, his photographs deliver a clear vision that connects. Andy’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including recent shows at the Griffin Museum of Photography, Baxter St at the Camera Club of New York, and Villa Heike in Berlin. His photographs have been featured in a variety of publications including The New York Times, National Geographic Magazine, Time, and GEO, and have received recognition from American Photography, Photolucida, and the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, among others. He is a multiple time recipient of Minnesota State Arts Board grants, including a 2025 Creative Support for Individuals grant.His first monograph, Serpent in the Wilderness, was published in 2018 by Kehrer Verlag and is available here. Work from the series was included in Love Devotion Surrender Dedication at Rick Wester Fine Art in New York and presented as a solo exhibition at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisconsin, in 2022.Andy received his MFA in photography from the Hartford Art School. He lives and works in Minneapolis, Minnesota.His clients include National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times, Time, Disney, Nestle, Lyft, Adobe, UNICEF, and The Trust for Public Land, among many others.

Andy Richter is an award-winning photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A visual storyteller at heart, he serves clients who understand that authentic visual content inspires audiences to engage and act. Whether working with a major brand, a national publication, or an international NGO, his photographs deliver a clear vision that connects. Andy’s work has been exhibited internationally and he has received numerous awards and been recognized by American Photography, Photolucida, the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, and the International Photography Awards. He is a recent recipient of the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant. His monograph, Serpent in the Wilderness (2018), is now available from Kehrer Verlag and wherever books are sold. An exhibition of the series is currently on view at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in the C18 Gallery through August 2020. A story of newly commissioned photographs on yoga, along with work from the book, is featured in the January 2020 issue of National Geographic Magazine.
