ABOUT ANDY MARTIN

I am a Product Manager in Boise Idaho, currently on a major career pivot with a focus on Automated Transportation. Currently open to conversations with anyone in the automation sector for feedback or further thoughts on this career shift. Also open to reviewing any opportunities that would leverage both my hands-on transportation/CDL-A skills as well as my technical background.__From my time in software, I bring experience being involved with product teams in SaaS, eCommerce, Real Estate, Fintech, HIPAA-Compliant, and general enterprise application development for over 16 years. Primarily a startup veteran, but skilled in accommodating a wide range of clients from Rapid-MVP and Small Businesses, venture-backed startups from Seed to Series B stage, to Aston Martin and Broadsoft (now a Cisco corporation).Having built my Product career on the back of my time as a designer and developer, in order to become a more effective manager, I\'m applying the same hands-on approach in my shift towards the Transportation industry. Currently holding an active CDL-A with no restrictions (as well as a current TWIC card), I\'ve worked with the State of Idaho, giving me inside experience in the processes and systems that operate our nations road infrastructure. I\'ve also been driving Over-The-Road more recently, absorbing everything I can about the logistics of distribution centers, ports of entry, trip-planning, and the challenges of day-to-day driving that automated systems will soon need to address. A side hobby of importing vehicles from Japan has kept me busy in between, as well as honing my skills in more complex shipping involving federal regulations, processes, and port procedures.
