ABOUT ANDY MACDONALD
A motivated and experienced Chartered Mechanical Engineer, with strong Process and Operations skills having worked in a variety of on and offshore technical and senior leadership positions for upstream oil & gas companies for over 20 years. I have excellent experience in leading and motivating teams, specifically evident when forming and leading an Operations and Maintenance team during a recent Greenfield Bridge Link Platform (BLP) project with subsequent successful integration into the Asset team. In addition, my most recent position as Tartan Operations Manager demonstrated my one team approach to on and offshore Operations, and my ability to quickly pick up the role and deliver on business objectives such as HSEA performance, production delivery and financial prudence. I also have an attention to detail that delivers results, most recently underlined in the successful and safe delivery of the Montrose BLP to Operations, bringing the new Cayley and Shaw fields into production whilst adhering to a strict Operations Readiness and Handover strategy.
