About Andy Labrot
I’ve spent 40 years inside the insurance industry’s data problem. I’ve worked with virtually every major policy administration system on the market: Sapiens, Duck Creek, Insurity, Guidewire, Majesco. They all work beautifully on clean data. The trouble is, they never get clean data. What they get is incomplete, inaccurate and misleading risk classification data.in short, garbage. And that garbage doesn’t just stay in the policy admin system. It cascades into claims in the form of adverse selection, into pricing as the correct coverages and rates are not properly assigned, into loss ratios (inaccurate pricing due to inaccurate risk classification which in turn results in adverse selection which results in higher claims payments), into every downstream decision the carrier makes. The policy administration system(s) are the heart(s) of a carrier. When you pump poison through it, the whole enterprise gets sick. I took the CDO role at Linqura because this is the first company I’ve seen in 40 years that can actually fix the problem at the source. Not by replacing systems. Not by building another data warehouse. By manufacturing accurate, AI-enriched business data and feeding it directly into the carrier’s existing infrastructure. Before Linqura, I led global services and product management at Sapiens, oversaw solution architecture and implementation at Ebix, and served as CTO at The Innovation Group, CTO of MTW, and Chief Technologist for Texas Instruments Software. I’ve implemented policy administration systems across P&C, life, and employee benefits on six continents. If you’re a carrier executive who knows your data is broken but hasn’t found anyone who can fix it without ripping and replacing your systems, I’d welcome the conversation. Experience
Chief Data Officer
Feb 2025 — Present · Woodstock, GA, US
Joined Linqura as Chief Data Officer to solve the foundational data quality crisis I’ve watched cripple commercial insurance carriers for four decades. Leading the data strategy behind Linqura’s AI-powered underwriting intelligence platform, which ingests, validates, and enriches commercial business data in real time across 33M+ U.S. businesses, delivering 85%+ classification accuracy against a legacy industry benchmark of roughly 60%. Key focus areas: Data architecture and integration strategy for carrier-facing deployment; Ensuring Linqura’s AI-enriched data integrates seamlessly into carriers’ existing policy administration systems without requiring system replacement; Data governance and quality frameworks for admitted and non-admitted carriers After 40 years of building and implementing policy administration systems (Sapiens, Ebix, Innovation Group, CGI, MTW and TI), I know exactly what data carriers need and exactly how broken what they’re currently getting is. Linqura is the fix.
