The goal of the newly established ASCET Center of Excellence is to support U.S. engagement in international standardization for critical and emerging technologies (CETs), such as AI, quantum information technologies, and biotechnology, which are essential to U.S. economic competitiveness and national security.The ASCET Center of Excellence will focus on four broad areas: 1) pre-standardization engagement; 2) workforce capacity building; 3) a collaborative pilot program with NIST in CETs; and 4) creating an information and data sharing hub.
