ABOUT ANDY KNEEN

I have recently completed a 19-year career in Shell. During this time, I held multiple global HR leadership roles, across different locations, with a focus on business partnering, talent management and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI). I was awarded an OBE in 2022 for services to Diversity & Inclusion in recognition of my contribution to disability inclusion, both within Shell and across industry. Having moved back to Nottingham, my home city, I have been appointed as a Non-Executive Director for Lincolnshire County Cricket Limited with responsibility for EDI and Safeguarding. I have also been selected as a Trustee for the Snowdon Trust and been appointed to the England and Wales Cricket Board`s newly formed Recreational Game Committee. I`m also an EDI Anti-Discrimination panel member for The FA.I am seeking to undertake a ‘portfolio’ career based around making a positive impact for others who are either marginalised or do not have a voice. My strengths – such as relationships, thought leadership, business acumen, ‘getting things done’ and ability to inspire others – as demonstrated through my career in Shell, provide ample transferable skills. I am actively seeking further NED opportunities, as well as pursuing ad-hoc work with a focus on EDI and disability inclusion. I am seeking to move outside of the corporate sector and am interested in the sports, charity, and public sectors.
