As Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellor, I am setting the priorities and vision for the Faculty. For example, I am driving Industry 4.0 as a Faculty and University theme with a particular interest in the Smart City Initiative and the development of so-called smart products. This is being extended across the university disciplines to include aspects such as the Internet of Services (IoS), which includes especially intelligent transport and logistics (smart mobility, smart logistics), as well as Internet of Energy (IoE), which determines how the natural resources are used in proper way (electricity, water, oil, etc.).
