About Andy Robinson
As a government and history major at Bowdoin College, I am interested in the law and public policy space and hope to pursue internships and job opportunities in these areas. I am passionate and curious about using the stories of past and present to shape a more empathetic world. Through my work as Managing Editor of The Bowdoin Orient, I have gathered and facilitated the sharing of valuable stories from my college community. As a public historian, I have created an exhibit on life in the 60’s and 70’s in Brunswick while co-founding the Bowdoin Preservation Collective that has brought students and community members together to produce engaging historical materials. I also have research experience with Government Professor Michael Franz from the summer of 2024. Together, these skills have sharpened my writing, critical thinking, and communication skills while shaping a passion for investigating how systemic injustices can be rectified with law and public policy. Outside of my studies, I love lighthouses and exploring the beauty of Maine with friends and family!
