42 years in financial services, over 29 of them in Compliance. Experienced line manager, with strong coaching and development skills. During my career, I\'ve moved from hands-on activity to management and senior management of file checking, compliance monitoring, T&C, complaint handling, management information, past business reviews, operational and warehousing databases, suitable advice, specialist recruitment, approved persons, SM & CR, product development, retail sales processes and financial promotions. My background is in life, pensions, investments and mortgage sales. I then moved into general banking products (current / packaged accounts, credit cards, loans, savings, general insurance). Leaving one of the UK\'s big banks, I learned about the insurance market in one of the world\'s biggest non-life insurers. I now lead risk, compliance and conduct for an insurance broker, also acting as company director.
