About Andy Cano-Avila
Senior Mechanical Engineering student at Texas A&M University with a focus on robotics, aerospace systems, and advanced mechanical design. My experience spans projects such as NASA L’SPACE mission concept development, competitive go-kart mechanical design, and leading the design of a hydraulically actuated robotic hand for my capstone. Through my work with Albers Aerospace and in autonomous aerial robotics, I’ve developed skills in CAD and geometric modeling, mechanism design, system dynamics, and the integration of hardware and software for real-world engineering applications.As Vice President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), I lead technical initiatives, mentor members, and organize professional development programs that strengthen collaboration and industry engagement.
