ABOUT ANDY BYRNE
As a CEDR-accredited mediator, I help individuals and organisations resolve conflict constructively, confidentially, and with long-term sustainability in mind. I bring a structured, impartial, and pragmatic approach to mediation, supporting resolution across a broad range of contexts—including commercial, workplace, partnership, and sector-specific disputes. While I have particular expertise in healthcare and primary care mediation, my skill set is fully transferable to other sectors, especially where relationships, governance, contracts, and collaboration are central. Whether navigating a complex business disagreement, partnership fallout, or organisational conflict, I focus on helping parties reach workable, future-focused agreements while preserving trust and professional relationships. Key specialisms include: GP Partnership Disputes – addressing issues around profit-sharing, governance, decision-making, and succession planning. Primary Care Network (PCN) Conflicts – supporting practices in resolving tensions over leadership, funding (e.g. ARRS), service delivery, and contractual obligations. Commercial & Contractual Mediation – resolving disputes involving service contracts, provider relationships, or operational challenges. Wider Organisational & Workplace Mediation – working with teams, leadership groups, or cross-sector partners facing difficult conversations or strategic misalignment. My background in healthcare commissioning, strategic engagement, and contract negotiation—particularly within optometry, general practice, and provider networks—gives me deep insight into the challenges of high-pressure sectors. However, I’ve also worked with clients in broader public, third-sector, and business environments, and I bring the same calm, structured approach to all cases. In addition to mediation, I am a PROSCI-certified Change Practitioner, experienced in delivering structured change management support using the ADKAR® model. I help teams and organisations adapt to new ways of working, improve adoption of new systems or roles, and manage stakeholder dynamics during periods of transformation. Whether you\'re seeking mediation support, a strategic partner for navigating change, or someone to facilitate difficult conversations, I’m happy to talk about how I can help.
