About Andy Briscoe

Andy Briscoe (they/them) is a graduate of the joint JD and Master of Arts in Restorative Justice program at Vermont Law and Graduate School. Andy\'s main practice interests are restorative justice, criminal defense, juvenile justice, mental health law, and education law/ student rights. While in law school, Andy served as a full time 3:03 certified student attorney at CPCS with the Norfolk County Public Defender Division as well as the Roxbury Youth Advocacy Division. As a student attorney, Andy represented dozens of clients at arraignments, served as first seat on a 4th Amendment Motion to Suppress, and prepared to second seat multiple trials. Prior to practicing in Massachusetts, Andy worked as a legal clinician at the Center for Justice Reform Clinic at Vermont Law School where they served non-citizens in removal proceedings and justice involved individuals seeking post-conviction relief. Andy drafted a motion to vacate for a victim of human trafficking, a motion to suppress in a removal case, and petitions for complex expungement cases. They also conducted consultations with prospective immigration clients and evaluated possible legal relief based on prospective clients stated goals. Andy strives to be a trauma-informed advocate, taking great care to build strong relationships with clients to ensure clients felt they had a partner in navigating their legal issues. Andy has experience working with clients from a diverse array of backgrounds, including non-English speaking clients who required interpreter services. Andy is a proud member of the National Lawyers Guild and the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association. In their free time, Andy enjoys spending time with their golden retriever, Sage, and volunteering for their community. Andy practices law in Boston with a particular focus on serving the Roxbury, Dorchester, and West Roxbury divisions of the Boston Municipal Court.
