ABOUT ANDY BANKS
I am an experienced technical specialist with 28 years of experience working in the engineering sector. I have been working in the specific field of BIM for 14 years, having been involved in the full lifecycle of BIM activities from project inception to asset information management. I have helped clients realise the benefits of BIM ways of working, implemented a Common Data Environment, developed Employers Information Requirements for the supply chain and then gone on to work to those requirements in a consultancy environment. I have also worked in client roles developing Asset Information Models and Digital Twin strategy for the Clients’ operations business. I am a strategic thinker who applies attention to detail but can always see the bigger picture and possible outcomes. I am well organised, work well under pressure and always deliver to deadlines. I am a strong problem solver, who can adapt to any situation, thinking on my feet whilst displaying a positive attitude at all times. I have successfully led small project delivery teams and offline technical initiatives. I enjoy roles where we can improve the way things work, either through introducing new systems, ways of working, or by helping people learn new skills. I am an excellent communicator with strong people skills which enable me to work in various team scenarios.
