ABOUT ANDREW WHIGHAM
Andrew Whigham takes pride in skills of observation and reflection teamed with his keen sense of humor. He has received his B.S,M.S. degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. He recently received a second Master’s degree from the University of Southern California in Financial Engineering. He has had a wealth of intern experience in biomedical technology, medicine, business. His career goals seem to transform and grow with every opportunity, starting with his two first positions at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He excelled as Simulation Center Intern and Information Resources intern, becoming familiar with how medical professionals are trained and how assets are managed via ServiceNow platform. Recently, Andrew has gained professional engineering experience in new product development. He has interned at Edwards Lifesciences as New Product Development, Quality Engineering Intern. This assignment peaked his interest in the product management and systems engineering. That interest was heightened during his internship with Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher company. His passion for serving patients and end users motivated him to enjoy his time as an Electrical Engineering Intern. His most recent internship was with Edwards Lifesciences as a Digital Transformations Intern while concurrently attending class at USC. Currently, Drew proudly works for GE Healthcare within the Quality and Regulatory Leadership Program. Andrew has professional affiliations from coast to coast. Originally from Dallas, Tx, Andrew has been a member of the Emmett J. Conrad leadership program, a Continental Societies scholarship recipient, a Credit Union of Texas scholarship recipient. Always seeking funding, Andrew received the Ronald A. Hammond Full Scholarship to attend the University of Miami as an undergrad, received the MS Merit Tuition Waiver to complete his B.S./M.S, and was a fully-funded GEM Fellow at the University of Southern California.
