   Vartega is solving the world\'s toughest advanced materials recycling challenges to create circular supply chains and enable a sustainable future. I co-founded Vartega in 2014 to develop and leverage our unique composites recycling technology and drive the adoption of low-cost carbon fiber. • Hired and led C-suite leadership to develop business strategy, finance operations, and secure equity investment to support growth goals and return value to stakeholders • Grew to a team of 13 employees with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives with several employees working virtually or remote • Nurtured a highly functional team that solves problems with limited resources under tight timelines • Encouraged and expected open communication and feedback within our team and met quarterly with team members to discuss goals, progress, hurdles, roadblocks, and personal development • Established organizational milestones and metrics including sales goals and performance targets • Scaled recycling technology from 1 liter benchtop scale to 400 liter commercial scale • Directed the development and scale-up of novel post-processing technology to coat recycled fiber reinforcement with water-based emulsions and dispersions for significantly improved handling and feedability into thermoplastic polymer extrusion and compounding systems • Engaged technical and business leaders across the value chain to drive development with OEMs, adoption with Tier suppliers, and feedstock agreements with materials manufacturers • Proposed and negotiated complex deals with family owned and Fortune 50 companies • Secured letters of intent, purchase orders, collaboration projects, and pilots with customers and partners in the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Germany, India, and Japan • Coordinated participation in trade shows and industry conferences including SAMPE, CAMX, JEC, SPE ACCE, NPE, and Refocus
