About Andrew Thomas

I am currently studying petroleum engineering as well as obtaining a business minor. My current aspirations are to either enter the energy sector as a petroleum engineer or use my critical thinking skills as well as business knowledge to enter into the fields of either private equity, reservoir engineering, or investment banking. I posses exceptional critical thinking skills as well as math and science expertise that prove useful in the energy sector. My experience as an extern at Exxon Mobil gave me deeper insight into how those skills are applied in the every day life of a petroleum engineer and what I can do to prepare myself to potentially work in the energy industry. I also excel in sales with my history as a sales associate providing me with great experience and many learning opportunities. Additionally, through my years of playing team sports and my summer spent learning business at the McCombs Summer Institute, I have been able to demonstrate my leadership qualities and help myself as well as those around me to better succeed in a team environment.
