    Recruited to provide strategic, agile planning and direction for 230 licensed bed and flagship NICU facility of Ochsner Health System. Manage $5.2M budget and develop relationships with physicians and other key opinion leaders. Establish new technologies, provide action items for continual process improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance. Create peer-to-peer opportunities for continuing education and staff development.• Improve communication and relationships with physicians and nurses by creating and a program to put pharmacists on the hospital floor as well as rounding in nursing units. Results include improved patient care, increased productivity, reduced time for medication delivery, and enhanced opportunities for collaboration with and education of medical staff.• Pitch and receive approval to purchase and implement new gravimetric IV workflows for 10-15 doctors and 7-10 CRNAs as well as JACHO compliant drug label printer for 13 anesthesiologists that increased productivity, enhanced patient care, and ensured regulatory compliance. • Engage with KOLs (5 physicians, 5 neonatal nurse practitioners) responsible for 54 NICU beds to successfully educate them on the need to hire a clinical NICU pharmacist.• Assist in developing and leading multi-functional medical reconciliation team for emergency department patients that surpassed goal of collecting complete medical histories for 75% of patients by 20%, reaching 95% of patients admitted to the emergency room/hospital.• Play critical role in bringing chemotherapy operations within the main pharmacy, opening a satellite location, and developing standard operating system for chemotherapy and sterile product production.• Create and lead multiple cross-functional teams and committees including: medical safety, opioid stewardship, antibiotic stewardship, and hypoglycemia committee.• Spearhead development, implementation, and education surrounding USP 800 and ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800.
