ABOUT ANDY PLENDER

I\'d like to help you communicate what matters to your people and cultivate how your colleagues collaborate and connect with what drives your organisation\'s success: your purpose.I am a senior communications practitioner with over 20 years’ practice in change, internal communications (IC) and employee engagement in permanent and interim roles. I have helped a diverse global mix of clients and employers succeed in climates of substantial change for international organisations from sectors including Mining (Anglo American, De Beers), Luxury Consumer Goods (De Beers), Transport (TfL, Network Rail) and Education (Pearson). With a passion for employee experience and helping my clients define and deliver against measurable outcomes, I have worked for Corporate Affairs, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, Information Management teams across a variety of change, crisis and reputation management projects. In my last two roles, I was the content lead on a complex global Finance and IT transformation programme across eight countries and led on change communications during Covid-19 and hybrid working during the pandemic, driving a step-change in the community management for a Top 500 leadership population. I bring clarity to change and am a business and technology literate problem solver with a keen eye and ear for employee experience. I care deeply about what you want your people to know, feel and do and work to best-in-class industry standards. Measurable outcome-driven goals are what define my output because the results that matter to my clients really matter to me.As an interim, I will help you quickly relieve any pain points and make the most of opportunities presenting themselves to you so that you and your team can get on with what you do best. As a permanent member of your team I can prove my broad experience and skillset, leading teams and agencies, advising senior stakeholders and mobilising the enablers in your organisation. My clients have had value-adding, outcome-driven communications \'hands-on\' tactical support and employee engagement planning and strategy. I am comfortable providing direct content support, leading teams, or agencies. I have a broad mix of stakeholder, project, and content skills across video, digital and editorial media. I can supply my own content creation software and hardware. I hold a Melcrum Black Belt in internal communications and a Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma business improvement. I\'m a published journalist and a huge advocate for using today’s tech to work in an agile, mobile and collaborative way.
