I am an experienced robotics and artificial intelligence engineer, researcher, and manager. As an engineer, I value thoughtful and pragmatic technical design and maintainable code, and have shipped production software to thousands of deployed robots (in health care, consumer, and education markets).As a researcher, I have won and PI-ed research grants, and I have academic background in machine learning (especially reinforcement learning). As a manager, I have built and led a multidisciplinary engineering team. I have particular expertise in integrating foundational robotic capabilities into coherent, autonomous, interactive, human-centered applications for new robot products. I want to make robots that make the world a better place.
