Developed formulations using proprietary materials and known GRAS chemicals to make novel transdermal and dermal API delivery systems • Developed nanoparticles to enhance cellular uptake of genetic material for dermal delivery of biologics, namely siRNAs • Managed and ran the entire testing processes of dermal and transdermal formulations, via Franz diffusion cells, from setup/running of experiments to post-processing of samples and optimization of testing parameters• Ran in-vivo animal experiments to test high performing formulations; this included anaesthetizing, formulation delivery (topical or ID), sacrificing and harvesting of specimens• Analyzed experimental data, organized and presented results, and maintained good laboratory records on tests conducted.• Supervised and trained new co-op students for helping with testing and formulation development • Executed regular maintenance and basic repairs of lab equipment and building facilities (pumps, air compressors, safety shower, etc.)• Managed the chemical waste disposal by liaising between Avro, disposal contractors and government bodies for properly disposing of hazardous and biohazardous waste • Managed inventory and ordering for basic lab and office supplies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
