About Andrew Chu
I\'m excited about energy technology and materials science and engineering. At Rivian, I worked on driving sustainability through battery materials sourcing, end-of-life solutions, and charging strategy. Through 6+ years of scientific research at Stanford and MIT and R&D at a VC-backed battery start-up, I\'ve worked on electrochemistry for critical minerals processing, the technoeconomics of energy systems decarbonization, and battery cell design and systems control. I’m currently a fourth-year undergraduate at Harvard working in the lab of Yet-Ming Chiang at MIT. Always reading about commercial scale-up stories, materials research, elegant solutions for industrial decarbonization, and the battery value chain.
